City Adventure: Hot Chocolicious

February 13, 2014- This winter has been cruel, throwing at us a coldness we haven’t felt in years. It’s been hard, but imagine how much harder things are for hungry families and the homeless. Food Banks across the country are in need of our support and the folks behind the Toronto Chocolate Festival have come up with a pilot project called Hot Chocolicious to help raise funds for Ontario’s food banks.

During the month of February, a portion of each hot chocolate drink sold at participating locations will be donated to the Ontario Food Bank Association in support of hungry families and the homeless.

That means you get to enjoy Canada’s national winter drink while helping out people in need, an act that will warm your body and warm your heart.

More than a dozen establishments across Ontario have stepped up to the plate to participate in Hot Chocolicious, including all Balzac’s Coffee locations, Dolcini by Joseph in Kleinberg, both Truffle Treasures in Ottawa and both Crepes a Go Go locations in Toronto.

In addition, companies and associations are encouraged to host a hot chocolate day at their place of business and donate while there is still some time left in February.

Full details and information on participating location for Hot Chocolicious are available by visiting www.HotChocolateFestival.org.
